Ascension Presents
Ascension
Got a question and five minutes? Ascension Presents, the YouTube channel of Ascension, the publisher behind The Bible in a Year, is built for exactly that. The channel says it aims to present the truth and beauty of the Catholic faith and to answer the longings of the human heart. Fr. Mike Schmitz is its most familiar face, with other priests, religious and lay speakers joining him.
Most videos take one question and answer it in a few minutes. Why go to confession? What happens when we die? Is it a sin to miss Mass? How do I pray when I feel nothing? The style is direct, warm and personal, usually just a speaker talking to the camera. The back catalog is large, so there's a good chance your question has been tackled.
It suits inquirers with specific questions, young adults, and catechists looking for a short video to open a session. Search the channel for your topic and see what comes up.
