Catholic Productions
by Brant Pitre
If you've read Brant Pitre's books and wanted more, this is the source. Catholic Productions is the home of his teaching. Its site describes video and DVD Catholic Bible studies on Scripture, the Mass, the Eucharist and Mary, offered since 2006, from Dr. Pitre and other scholars.
The studies apply Pitre's signature move, reading the New Testament against its ancient Jewish background, across a wide range of subjects. There are individual books of the Bible, the sacraments, the Mass and Marian doctrine. They're designed for individuals and parish groups alike. Pitre teaches in a lively, organized way, and he's especially good at showing how the Old and New Testaments lock together like two halves of a key.
It suits inquirers who enjoyed Pitre's books, Bible study groups, and catechists who want scholarly material presented accessibly. Some content is paid, but there are free videos and resources to sample first. Expect to take notes.
